Rita Padfield

Rita Ann Padfield, 83, of Town & Country, Missouri and formerly of Breese, died Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Mari De Villa Senior Living Center in Town & Country, Missouri. She was born March 6, 1939 in Breese, daughter of Glenroe S. and Adele L. Zinschlag, nee Lappe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil J. Padfield, whom she married May 2, 1959 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese and who died May 17, 1999; sister-in-law, Theresa Padfield; and brothers-in-law, Allen Bassler and David Kurz. Surviving are her daughters, Brenda (Gregory) Livingston of Wildwood, Missouri and Tammy (Alan) Kehrer of Edwardsville; grandchildren, Alexis and Aleah Livingston, Abigail (Tyler) Kehrer-Dunlap, and Alex Kehrer; sisters, Mary “Bougie” Kurz and Sharon (Dan) Kohlbrecher all of Trenton; brothers-in-law, Tom Padfield of Trenton, Mike Padfield of Ander - son, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rita along with her husband Virgil, were co-owners/operators of Padfield Bus & Equipment Co. in Breese and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese. She enjoyed playing cards with the ladies, but above all cherished her time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Memorial Mass of Chris- tian Burial is Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle presiding. Interment will follow at St. Dominic/St. August- tine Cemetery, Breese. Visitation is Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 9:30- 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese. In lieu of flowers, plants, or other traditional gift, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Clinton County Relay for Life, or St. Dominic Catholic Church and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th, Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
