Tina Philoon

May 19, 2022

Tina Michelle Philoon, nee Tyler became one with the universe on April 22, 2022. Tina was born to Dorothea “Jeanne” Holman and William “Norman” Tyler on September 18, 1963 in East St. Louis. Tina lived in varies locations in the St. Louis Metro East, also residing in California for several years in her early 20’s. Eventually, she found her way to Central Florida, where she and her long-time companion, Bruce R. Silver, who preceded her in death on December 31, 2019, lived until they found their perfect spot in Daytona Beach, Florida, living out the rest of their days. Sadly, those days would not be near long enough for either of them. Tina was the life of every party, you couldn’t help but notice her beautiful blonde hair and her freshly colored lips as she walked into any room. Tina didn’t hesitate to talk to anyone who looked welcoming, and she wasn’t in the least hesitant to say what was on her mind. Tina was an amazing cook who fed everyone she knew, and at times some she didn’t know. She was the best babysitter to her niece and nephew when they were young, allowing them to be little monkeys and jump on the bed. Tina loved all things motorcycles, her favorite being Harley Davidson. She enjoyed having alcoholic drinks as often as she could, and on most days she could be found lying in the pool or playing on social platforms where she also had many friends. Tina was loved by many and will be deeply missed, especially by her baby sister, Evie (John) Newell of Trenton and nephews and niece, Branden Sullo (Georgy Afonin) of Los Angeles, California, Kaylen McDowell (Adam Fuhler) of Trenton, Shelden Mc- Dowell (Micaela Gooding) of Orlando, Florida and her cat, “Torty” Shell. A celebration of Tina’s life is scheduled for June 25, 2022 at Sugar Loaf Township Hall in Dupo be- ginning at 4:00 p.m. Tina never liked to have an end time to any celebration. In genuine Tina fashion, food, drinks and snacks will be available, feel free to bring a dish to share and BYOB. Some of Tina’s personal belongings will be laid out for those who wish to take a keepsake to remember her by. Tina was a plant mom to many plants that we will be finding homes for, so in lieu of flowers and plants monetary donations will be accepted by the family for Tina’s final expenses and to help provide the best possible care for Torty.
