Jean Williams, 93, of Longview, Washington, died peacefully at home on September 4, 2018, following  a brief illness..

She was born October 28, 1924 in Aviston, daughter  of George and Florence Holtkamp, nee Rule, and they preceded her.

She grew up in Trenton, and graduated from Trenton High School. She met Ebby Williams, who was stationed at Scott Air Force Base, at a softball game in 1954. They were married in August of that year, and soon moved to Longview. The next year their daughter Debbie was born, followed by son Kurt, and daughter Jodi.

Jean was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and later a great grandmother. She spent many hours following her grandchildren’s  activities, including dance recitals and sporting  events. She frequently traveled with Ebby to attend  events of grandchildren  who didn’t live locally. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles in her spare time.

Jean attended First Christian Church for nearly  60 years, helping with various church activities. She was a member of the YMCA where she provided and received love and much laughter from her exercise classmates.

Jean kept her family and many friends laughing. Her grandchildren especially appreciated her quick wit and funny sayings. As they became adults, they kept in close touch with their grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her her brother, Charlie Holtkamp, and her sister-in-law, Doris Williams.

She is survived by Ebby, her husband of 64 years; her daughter Jodi (Art), and granddaughter Courtney;  her son Kurt (Brenda) and grandsons Nathan (Mihloti)  and Jordan (Amy), great grandsons Joseph and Henry, and granddaughter Kaitlyn; and her daughter Debbie (Larry) and grandson  Lindsay (Emily), great grandson Leo, and grandson  Erik (Karla).
